Information Technology Steering Committee
The Information Technology Steering Committee (ITSC) comprises five members. The Chairman is a non-executive Advisor, while the other members include representatives from the Board of Trustees, and management, along with the Head of the IT Department. The Secretary of the ITSC is the Trust secretary. Meetings are ideally conducted at least once every quarter or at such other frequency as the Chairman may determine. The minutes of ITSC meetings are circulated to all members and Trustees.

Terms of Reference of the Information Technology Steering Committee Members
The ITSC is mandated to oversee and provide strategic direction on the management and use of information technology at SINA, ensuring alignment with the organization’s objectives, promoting innovation, and mitigating IT-related risks.
The salient features of the Terms of Reference of ITSC are as follows:
- Provide guidance and recommendations to the Board on IT-related trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the IT strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Review and recommend the IT budget, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated for infrastructure, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Monitor IT projects to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery, while prioritizing initiatives based on strategic impact.
- Establish and enforce technology standards, security protocols, and disaster recovery measures to safeguard systems and data.
- Review performance of IT service providers and vendors against agreed service levels.
- Develop and review IT policies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure infrastructure supports both on-site and remote learning needs, including necessary tools, applications, and training.
- Promote IT innovation to enhance educational quality and accessibility, keeping abreast of emerging technologies.
- Maintain regular communication with the SINA community regarding IT initiatives, progress, and outcomes.
- Report regularly to the Board on IT initiatives, issues, and risks, and ensure follow-up on recommendations and resolutions.
